The world feels heavier these days—wars and rumors of wars, moral confusion, growing hostility toward truth, and natural disasters increasing in frequency and intensity. For those of us who know the Scriptures, this isn’t just coincidence—it’s prophecy unfolding.
Jesus warned us in Matthew 24 of the signs that would precede His return. And if we’re honest, we see those signs lighting up like a divine countdown clock. Every moment brings us one breath closer to eternity.
“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” Luke 21:28
These are not days for fear—but for faith. Not times for retreat—but for resolve. If we truly believe that Jesus could return at any moment, how should we live?
Would we spend more time in prayer and less time in pointless scrolling?
Would we speak more often of Jesus to those who don’t know Him?
Would we live with urgency, generosity, and love—not clinging to this world, but longing for the next?
Paul wrote in Romans 13:11:
“And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.”
The Lord has been challenging me in recent months through my husband’s preaching, through conversations with friends, and in my own personal devotions. I am taking a closer look at my priorities. I need to make some changes. How about you?
The hour is late. The kingdom is near. And God is calling His people to wake up—not in panic, but in purpose. He wants His bride prepared. Holy. Watchful. Focused. Not distracted by the noise, but tuned in to the Spirit.
I am challenged not to waste these final moments with half-hearted faith, or using my time and energy on things that don’t matter. I am feeling the urge to live more as if the trumpet could sound today.
“Be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
Matthew 24:44
I’m reminding myself as well as you, my friends: The countdown is real. The King is coming. And eternity is just a breath away.
Live ready. Speak truth. Love well.
Because any minute now… we will see Him face to face.
Blessings,
Angie
