It’s Christmas Eve and I’ve had a lovely day rejoicing in the birth of the Savior and what it means to me. My husband preached an encouraging message on “Emmanuel - God With Us.”
He challenged us all to be reminded every moment of every day and in every circumstance that if we have Jesus as our Savior, we have God With Us. What more could I possibly need?
I know that if I keep that truth at the forefront of my mind, it will have a profound effect on my daily life.
I will speak more kindly.
I will be more bold in witnessing.
I will use my time more wisely.
I will have more patience and understanding with others.
I will fear less.
I will do more good.
I will be less selfish.
I will make wiser choices.
I will pray more.
I will be more generous with my time and resources.
I will sin less.
I’m in awe as I meditate on this thought. It brings to mind a favorite song.
I stand amazed in the presence
Of Jesus the Nazarene,
And wonder how He could love me,
A sinner condemned, unclean.
How marvelous! How wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
How marvelous! How wonderful!
Is my Savior’s love for me!
It’s truly amazing that He loves me and is with me no matter where I am or what I am going through. I am never alone.
I pray that this reminder blesses you as much as it did me today.
My Christmas Gift To You!
Yesterday I shared with you the best gift I ever received. You can read about it here if you missed it. But today, I want to give you a couple of gifts from me.
I’ve written a few books over the years. I do have a couple of new projects in the works, but I have converted my previous books into digital format since I’m almost out of hard copies.
Would you accept these digital ebooks as a Christmas gift from me this year?
There are three books I’m making available to you. Just click on each title link to download them for free.
Rejoice Thou Barren - Despite the title, this book isn’t just comfort for the childless. It’s a challenge to each of us to allow God to BE God in our lives in any area. I believe it will also encourage parents towards a greater appreciation of the gift they’ve been given.
Daughters of Sarah - A series of short devotional thoughts taken from my personal devotional life as I studied Scriptures that were specifically written to or about women.
How To Tame Temper Tantrums - A concise manual to aid parents in helping their children develop self-control, bringing peace and joy to everyone in their orbit.
I pray the Lord blesses each one of you in a special way this Christmas season. From my home to yours, Merry Christmas!
Love and blessings,
Angie
Many thanks, Angie! Merriest of Christmases to you and Don. And a blessed new year!
